Built around 1810 as a fine house, probably for a local architect and his family. It served during the middle years of the 20th century as the museum for the South Staffs Regiment, and takes its name from one of the commanders of that force Brigadier General C.S.Davidson. The whole place now looks rather sorry for itself, and has clearly deteriorated since Image was taken 4 years ago.
