Miss Challis bequeathed her house and its large garden to the village in 2006. It now houses an interesting museum, which at the time of the Platinum Jubilee had an exhibition about previous Jubilee celebrations in Sawston. The brick High Street frontage conceals the fact that the house was built of clay bat. The rear is rendered. For more about the house and the trust which administers it, see the trust's website: http://challistrust.org.uk/ . Another view: Image
