The Brunswick Inn is a renowned real ale pub which also has its own brewery. It forms the end building of Railway Terrace, a row of Victorian buildings, opened in 1842 for the more senior railway staff. Many years ago, the whole area had fallen into disrepair. However, in 1979 it was declared a conservation area and years after the buildings were all restored and brought up to modern living standards.
