Class 158 2-coach unit at Inverurie, having just arrived from Aberdeen to where it will shortly depart again. Both tracks through the station are signalled for use in either direction, so the more convenient platform with the buildings can be used as appropriate. The right hand platform would originally have been used by branch line trains to Old Meldrum. The station buildings are Listed Category B.
