The gentleman standing beside the cab, chatting to the driver, is the guard/conductor/ticket collector/train manager - I am never sure how to refer to them these days. The station was designed by James Lowson and Patrick M Barnett of the Great North of Scotland Railway, in 1902. It is Category B listed.
