Looking along the westbound A38 as it approaches the Tamar Bridge whose eastern tower can be seen on the right-hand side of the photo, above the toll plaza canopy. Part of the superstructure of Brunel's Royal Albert Bridge can be seen on the left-hand side. This is a railway bridge which was opened in 1859. The suspension bridge was built immediately to the north of the rail bridge.
