Number 14 West Street is dated 1740 and incorporates an earlier, probably 17th century, building. The house was restored in the 20th century. Constructed of coursed limestone and squared, coursed and banded limestone and ironstone with Collyweston slate roof. Listed, grade II, with details at: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1225368 Easton on the Hill is a village in the eastern tip of north Northamptonshire, some 2 miles southwest of Stamford. The village name means 'east farm/settlement' on the hill. Most working residents travel to Stamford or Peterborough.
