Number 59 Church Street, nearer the camera, was built in the 17th century and greatly restored in the 20th century. Constructed of squared, coursed limestone Under a Collyweston stone slate roof. Listed, grade II, with details at: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1040063 Number 61 Church Street is dated 1724 and 1729 and was extended with a cross wing in the late 18th century to form a house and attached school-room. Listed, grade II, with details at: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1067685 Easton on the Hill is a village in the eastern tip of north Northamptonshire, some 2 miles southwest of Stamford. The village name means 'east farm/settlement' on the hill. Most working residents travel to Stamford or Peterborough.
