A simple, Victorian village church of 1876, a 'chapel of ease' to the parish church at Whixley. It is nevertheless of interest for being designed by the notable architect Sir George Gilbert Scott and with stained glass by Clayton and Bell. For those reasons it is listed grade II (list entry 1392840).
