The remains of Smithy Place Mills, now a housing estate. There was a loose boiler on site in the open air. This had belonged to James Robinson, dyers and finishers and a visit in the 1980s revealed a ruined beam engine house and a building containing a Belliss and morcom steam engine driving an alternator. This had been installed 3rd hand and was standby between 1973 and 1984. See - Image
