On the north side of the Avon are industrial units, brick-built and largely anonymous. The artists move in and add their own style of individualism. Across the river were old houses and, more recently, a petrol station. All those have gone and quite shocking apartment blocks are stamping their own sense of individualism on the neighbourhood.
