Maxham's Green Road branches off from Woodcroft Road close to Woodcroft Castle and culminates in a farm track which joins Heath Road to the south of Helpston. With the exception of access for residents of dwellings at its eastern end, Maxham's Green Road is closed to motor traffic (apart from agricultural vehicles) but is accessible to pedestrians and cyclists. A barrier was placed across the road to prevent any errant motorists attempting to use it as an illicit short-cut between Helpston and Marholm.
