Looking north. Turnover Bridge is No 132 across the Trent and Mersey Canal near the Kidsgrove end of the Harecastle Tunnel. It carries Station Road, Kidsgrove Station (formerly Harecastle Station) being nearby off to the left. The bridge no longer functions as "turnover" bridge, the towpath being continuous on the west side of the canal. The now demolished towpath through Telford's 1827 tunnel was on the east side. The Harecastle Hotel can be seen on the right. The far end is still open as the Railway Inn.
