This is one of two stones in the churchyard where the edges have a Caduceus which is a rare carving on 18th century symbolic stones. The Caduceus is a wand entwined with two snakes and mounted with a dove. It is familiar as the emblem of the College of Physicians. For a front view of the stone, see Image
