This park between Loscoe Road and Mansfield Road (ahead) was in the late 19th century the site of stables for the horses which pulled Nottingham's first trams until the system was electrified in 1901. Carrington Lido occupied the site from 1937 until closure in the 1980s and demolition in 1988.
