Former home of the Wolsey Knitwear Company, once the region's largest hosiery manufacturer. The original 1920s building has been renovated to provide apartments and care facilities for the elderly. The original wall with the portrait of Cardinal Wolsey is retained. The cardinal, after whom the company was named, died at the nearby former Leicester Abbey in 1530.
