The stonework is part of the sluice that allows the water level of the pond beside Milngavie Community Library & Education Centre to be lowered. The control mechanism can just be seen sticking out of the ground. No doubt a large key is required to turn it. The water passes under the path and flows into the adjacent Allander Water Image
