A three-storey extension by Dan Lacey, County Architect, in 1962-63. It used the CLASP (Consortium of Local Authorities Special Programme) system, widely employed in schools. Despite being much better than the stodgy neo-Georgian main building, this has since been demolished. Hence, photographer and subject location may be inaccurate.
