A well preserved room and power mill built c1825. Timber floors and an integral beam engine house in the main 7 storey block. The mill incorporates a chimney in a stair tower and this is Manchester's oldest surviving mill chimney. This mill was used by A V Roe, aircraft pioneer who used part of the mill for design and construction of early biplanes and triplanes. Now being converted, as are many local mills.
