Both houses are on Holywell Hill, St Albans, which is far less peaceful than this photo suggests. Both are listed buildings. The front of Holywell Lodge is dated to the early 19th century on the official listing, though the house behind may be older; see the entry on the Historic England site https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1103096?section=official-list-entry . Torrington House is mid 19th century.
