The Trent and Mersey Canal meanders south-eastwards towards Etruria Junction and Stoke-on-Trent. The modern building on the right is Steel House. The extensive recent business park on the right is part of extensive development on the site of the former Shelton (Corus) Steelworks, which closed in 2000.
