A recent discovery https://www.geograph.org.uk/stuff/list.php?title=Headless+cow+by+Commons+Old+Road&gridref=SX9371 by Murder Lane in Shaldon is fully explained by these exhibits in the resin model showroom, titled "skinny cow" http://lifesize-models.co.uk/product.php?id=435&cat_id=53 . A "point of sale model to advertise Ice-creams ... the Ice-cream itself ... can be painted in any flavour ... We can paint the Cow model in any breed colour to order or with a different colour waistcoat to match your company colours".
