Opened in 1873 as "Maryland Point" by the Great Eastern Railway on its line from London Liverpool Street to Colchester, the name was shortened to "Maryland" in 1940. View south west towards Stratford and London. The station was largely rebuilt in 1949 and was updated in 2019. Platform fencing is now prominent since Image was taken from roughly the same camera position.
