The entrance is reached via an unnamed eoad from The Highway. The bilingual name sign shows that Pontypool & New Inn is Pont-y Pwl & New Inn in Welsh. In April 2022 the 2-platform station on the Welsh Marches Line from Newport to Crewe is managed by Transport for Wales.
