The park was once Division Road Cemetery, and a few monuments and headstones have been kept from its days as a detached burial ground for the parish of Holy Trinity, Hull. It opened in 1862 and was used for burials until 1898, eventually closing in 1952. It was cleared of most of the headstones, paths and buildings related to the cemetery in 1972. In the background are houses on Conway Close.
