Listed grade II (list entry 1375273); the listing describes it as the 'Entrance range to the Smithfield Ironworks, now offices and shops. c1848-50, restored and altered c1990.' Earlier it was the Smithfield Hotel, as attested by a blue plaque Image, but is now the offices of a charity called Basis Yorkshire. See also Image
