Round Tree Bridge pillar inscription

This inscription is on one of two pillars at the foot of Bank Street Brae, see Image], that were erected in 1907 and refurbished in 2000. The inscription on the opposite pillar reads:- These Pillars were restored in 2000 To Commemorate The 400th Anniversary of Galashiels becoming A "Burgh of Barony" in 1599
