The Crown

This one was called the Crown and is an old Coaching Inn. It has a place near to my heart as I used to help the blacksmith who used to live here. The Forge (as the house was called) was to the right and is now a converted barn. I still have a small bench top anvil from it. The part you see is an extension as is the part the other end, the original part is in the centre. There was a coach house as well made into a couple of garages but they became so unstable and rotten that they had to be demolished. This entrance used to be a fine lawn which I spent my summers cutting.
