Community matters in Yatton are held in the hall, which is in the heart of a designated conservation area. Shortly after the turn of the 1900s, local impetus for a proper hall grew and several fund-raising efforts started the campaign. Local benefactors also added substantial funds and by 1913 work started. The village engaged architects W.V. & A. Gough of Bristol and contractor E. Waiters and Son of Montpelier, Bristol, to create the present suite. The total cost was £2,300 and the hall was opened on Saturday October 25th 1913. It occasionally became on overspill classroom for the school opposite the site.
