This metal footbridge replaced an earlier stone one, which bore an Ordnance Survey benchmark: Height: 4.0599m OD (Newlyn). Mark verified by the Ordnance Survey in 1975. Description: FB SW PARA SE BANK AFON MWLDAN. 0.5m above ground. 3rd Order BM. SN 1764 4607
