This 18th century inn stands on High Street adjacent to All Saints' Church. It was at one time part of the Watneys estate but is now privately owned. According to this document published by the parish council, https://www.westhaddonparishcouncil.gov.uk/uploads/a-brief-history-of-west-haddon-21.pdf, a performance of Handel's Messiah was performed here around the time of the Battle of Trafalgar - something that is hard to imagine happening today.
