Opened in 1862 by the Shrewsbury & Welshpool Railway on the line between those places, this line was jointly owned by the Great Western and London & North Western Railway. The station closed to passengers in 1960. View south east towards Hanwood and Shrewsbury. The station is now a private residence. The single platform had been to the right of the railway track.
