The one nearest the camera is still operational. The other one is in use as Kirkintilloch Community Larder. Set up in 2020, it is used as a vital dropoff and collection point, with donations by local people from tinned goods to toiletries. The two boxes are Category B listed http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB36667.
