This stone is above the door of Origin Hair Studio on Alexandra Street Image ERECTED BY THE ROMAN FORT LODGE IOGT AND FRIENDS 1872 The building (now split into three premises) was originally opened as a temperance hall in 1872. According to the Glasgow Herald of 3 May 1872, the hall was being built under the auspices of members of the Roman Fort Lodge of Good Templars (part of the International Organisation of Good Templars), who had formed the lodge in March [1872].
