Over Gale Brook. Anyone walking this way should be wary of the way-marks: the field ahead has been completely levelled, sown, and surrounded by electrified fencing (the black cables can be seen on the stile posts). Furthermore, none of the three arrows marks a discernible path. If you go directly ahead, you will eventually reach the remains of a stile leading to a farm track to Lodge Lane but consider the succeeding photo to see the obstacles involved: Image
