The kissing gate is access to a Lidl supermarket. There is much coming and going from these moorings. The Canal & River Trust have erected a Towpath Code of Conduct. The principle that pedestrians have priority has to be greeted with hollow laughter. Cyclists and joggers don't stop for anybody.
