When new bus Route 412 began from Old Lodge Lane, brand new buses were provided, albeit they were Dennis Darts and a lot smaller than the Leyland Nationals which had been used on the superseded 12A. However, plenty of buses were provided, which was just as well, because a lot of people had turned out to sample the new service.
