What looks like a chimney but is actually a circular stairwell is part of the original 1832 mill by John Clark of Edinburgh. The building in front of it is part of the 1856 'D' block. Listed grade II as 'Bank Mills B & D' (list entry 1375363) but shown on early 20th century maps as a paper bag factory. Now converted to riverside apartments.
