A small and rather inconspicuous opening to a very old spring-site, thought to date back to the 6th century. It was once surrounded by a rather more grandiose stone well-house from the Victorian period, but that has been removed. The well was Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101053784-st-owens-well-much-wenlock#.Yfl0eurP3IU & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1053784 in 1950.
