Medieval base, with shaft and cross by Johri Middleton c1866. 5 square stone steps held by iron ties surmounted by tall square base in 2 tiers, much eroded and repaired, with vestiges of carving and of corner columns. Chamfered shaft and cross (Victorian). In the junction of Clearwell Road, Church Street and High Street.
