Flood protection scheme, Hawick

The flood protection scheme comprises defenses around the River Teviot and the Slitrig Water, road improvements for the A7, cycleways and an upgraded waste water treatment works. The scheme cost is £88m (2020 estimate), with contributions from the Scottish Government, Scottish Borders Council, Sustrans, Scottish Water and Transport Scotland - see https://www.scotborders.gov.uk/news/article/3880/hawick_flood_protection_scheme_update.
