"A good example of an early-20th century former infants & junior school, built on an important thoroughfare into and out of the city. The school was built circa 1913 to the design of the architect William Cowdell. The school has a visually pleasant grouping of buildings visible from the street, all of red-brick onstruction with clay peg-tile roofs." [Local Heritage Asset Register, Leicester city Council]
