Garforth St Mary: Peace flame

The original World Peace Flame was lit in 1999 and is still burning in The Hague in the Netherlands. Lights are taken from this flame to other towns across the world. Garforth has a garden with a permanent peace flame in a miner's lamp (this having been a coal mining area) and a similar lamp burns in the parish church.
