The Grenville Wesleyan Methodist chapel dates from 1839, when a Thomas Whippie provided funding to establish a new chapel, as well as a nearby hall and school. The church is a Lancet style building that has had many uses: after closing as a place of worship after WWII it later became a warehouse and garage; today it has been converted to residential occupation.
