People around Barnes are rather proud of what they call the 'lion houses' - houses around the green and pond adorned with little heraldic lions. This photo was taken against the backdrop of a chilly January sky, and the foreground is in deep shade. I can see seven gate-posts and (you may have to take my word for this) there are lions perched on top of three of them.
