The former industrialist's mansion, built in 1817 and seen here from the front facing into the park, is grade II listed (list entry 1256051). According to another contributor it was bought by Leeds Corporation in 1900 and used as an art gallery, later as a college building. It is now the Gurdwara Shri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji Image
