View looking north (uphill) from the track crossing at Nant-y-cafn. The story of this wagon's demise dates from c.2003, when it is said that some wagons ranaway from Onllwyn washery site further up the line, gathering speed before here crashing into the rear of coal train that had not long departed down the branch. It seems recovery of the last wagon on that train was deemed too difficult or uneconomic, so it has sat by the lineside for the last 19 years or so.
