When this picture was taken some eight years ago Image, the expectation was that Watford's Metropolitan Line station would not be around for much longer. However, for all sorts of reasons (not least a political reluctance to be seen to be investing in major transport schemes in the south east of England) the Croxley Link proposals are now firmly on the back burner. So the attractive station on Cassiobury Park Avenue - quite a step from the town centre - carries on its peaceful existence.
