A grade II* villa built in 1814 for Stockport industrialist Peter Marsland. The house and grounds were given to the people of Stockport in 1921 and the grounds now form the Woodbank Memorial Park. The villa has been a museum and council offices but is now empty. There are plans for the restoration of the structure. This would involve a conversion of the building to residential use.
