A recent development in Northern Trains' services is this hourly diagram from Crewe to Liverpool Lime Street via Manchester Airport, a journey taking about two hours overall (much slower than direct Crewe-Liverpool services). It stops here at Sandbach, then Holmes Chapel, fast to Alderley Edge then all stations to Oxford Road and selected stations to Liverpool. It was operated on this occasion by former Thameslink unit 319372.
